CARD QUEST Game Overview
CARD QUEST has that spoopy Gothic-esque art style but managed to spin a weird warm & relaxing feel into it that sucked me right in. The strategy in each chapter will keep the gameplay fresh as you explore different dungeons and handle whatever delicious randomness the game has cooked up for you. Yes, there are Dream Wheel and treasure chests that gather loot from everything but, of course, Challenge Mode asks you to stay focused and react quickly, as much as possible to stretch your skills & your imagination so far and demonstrate their limits. Oh, and you’ll be able to mix it up with Normal, Hard, and Abyss modes, so if you’re in the mood for a challenge you’ll be challenged with Abyss Mode and Challenge Mode.
While traversing across these nightmare-like stages, you are faced with mutated “meownsters” with some really bizarre move-sets that you cannot predict. So before you jump in there, have a check on your gear – those beasts can be merciless if you’re not prepared. Look out for Elite enemies as well; they are significantly tougher, but worth the effort. A mix of hell and paradise, the world is where you are collecting pieces of painting to recover brightness in the dark dream world. There are choices sprinkled in there as well — if you stumble upon some random events, chests, and mystery materials that can help or hinder your stage progress.

From Dream Hunter Ace to Miracle Shooter Aller, you have six great class and talent-specific characters to choose from. You level the people (or monsters) up, train them, and choose who will be there to help you face each challenge that you entrust them with. You can always explore a bit more leisurely via Adventure Mode and understand how the rules of the game work, and get a taste of the world too. However, if you want to take it up a notch, Challenge Mode dimensions are neither completely casual nor fully competetive, preparing for all rules to be broken in the name of insane strategies and the rush of a speedrun!
